I am a Canadian independent scholar conducting research on the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition of 1946-48.
Request from ex-Dumont d’Urville winterer: I am currently doing some research about the discovery of the emperor penguin and focusing at the moment on the Royal Society IGY Antarctic Expedition at Halley Bay. When the landing site was discovered in January 6th, 1956 a colony of emperors was discovered as well. Any chance you know who I should contact to see/obtain some photos of them this day?
Any FIDS in the Essex area that know club member Nick Mathys and would be interesting in visiting him at his Nursing Home, please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org or 01254 247541 for details. Thanks, Allan
